Throughout my 41-year career in law enforcement, I have also come to believe in the power of community input in government, volunteerism behind the bars, and how correctional institutions can change lives for the better. One of my proudest achievements since taking office is the creation of the S.T.A.R.T. Resource Center on the grounds of the Yaphank Jail.
